The 10,000 Steps program is an initiative developed by the Physical Activity Research Group at CQ University, aimed at encouraging individuals, organizations, and communities to enhance their daily physical activity levels. This program is anchored in evidence-based strategies to foster a more active lifestyle.

Recent updates now enable integration with Health Connect, which requires the installation of the Health Connect app on Android devices running version 13 or below. It is important to note that the 10,000 Steps app for Android does not directly track step counts. The app offers a range of features:

 <li>Access to evidence-based articles on physical activity</li>
</ul>

Users can easily monitor:

 <li>Progress toward daily activity goals</li>
 <li>Statistics on daily, weekly, monthly, yearly, and lifetime steps</li>
 <li>Performance in Monthly Challenges, including history and leaderboards</li>
 <li>Yearly progress metrics and Annual Leaderboard standings</li>
 <li>Friend statistics and Friends Leaderboard outcomes</li>
 <li>Group progress and associated Challenge Leaderboards</li>
 <li>Tournament team placements and Tournament Leaderboards</li>
